Miso Workshop

Come join us for this 2 hour hands-on miso workshop, where you will not only learn how to make the traditional soybean miso, but also meet the core ingredient called koji, used in most Japanese (and some Asian) ferments including soy sauce, sake and rice vinegar. You will take home the knowledge needed to make more miso at home!

  • Samples of miso and light snack

  • 250 g of miso to ferment at home
Note:

What to bring:

  • 500 ml jar to take home 250 g miso (you need some space to put a weight, so a wide-mouth jar is necessary)
  • A medium to large mixing bowl

In-house workshop

We teamed up with Nourish Kitchen & Cafe, the beautiful and cozy place loved by neighbours, to host our very first miso workshop since we launched in April 2021. In addition to the traditional soybean miso, we use different beans (chickpea and adzuki beans) at each workshop, so there will be something for everyone!

Kimchi Workshop

Kimchi

You like kimchi, but it seems too much work to make it by yourself? Don't fret! Making kimchi is a communal effort and is traditionally done at a family gathering. Are you ready to get your hands messy together? You can come to both miso and kimchi workshop and make it a one-day fermentation experience. It's your call!
